i ate the moon and purged it 10 minutes later in a costco bathroom/making meteors that turned my home planet into gooey galactic dust/and you have the nerve to say, you don’t have to have an eating disorder/just, like, eat healthy food and do cardio/my heartbeat quickens/like you think/i don’t know this already/but when my stomach is filled with the solar system i am become god/and it feels so soothing and so damn awful

 

Sheena Carroll is a Pittsburgh-based poet, tutor, witch, and painter. She is influenced by spacecraft, witchcraft, and personal trauma. Her work has been published in Nasty Women & Bad Hombres Anthology, Philosophical Idiot, The Mantle, and Flash Fiction Magazine. She performs her poetry on-stage under the name Miss Macross.
